Is Tungnath good for first-time trekkers?

Yes — it's our most recommended first Himalayan trek. The trail is paved for most of the way, the altitude gain is gradual, and we pace the group slowly with plenty of breaks.

How do I reach Rishikesh?

Rishikesh is well connected by bus and train from Delhi (5–6 hrs) and we help you plan it. Many Jaipur travellers join our shared overnight bus coordination.

What fitness level do I need?

If you can walk 5–6 km comfortably and climb a few flights of stairs without stopping, you're ready. A month of brisk walking before the trek helps a lot.

What's the stay like?

Clean alpine camps and guesthouses in Chopta on twin/triple sharing with warm blankets and common washrooms.

The Journey

The highest Shiva temple in the world, a 360° summit sunrise over Chaukhamba and Nanda Devi, and rhododendron forests that smell like rain. Tungnath–Chandrashila is the perfect first Himalayan trek — big mountain reward, gentle learning curve.
